How ForgePoint Began

ForgePoint Military Support Services was founded on the bedrock of integrity and a relentless commitment to detail, born from a recognition of the growing challenges veterans face while navigating the VA claims process. We observed a national need for a support framework that didn't just process paperwork, but meticulously reviewed every clinical nuance and service record to ensure that those who served received the synchronization their history deserves. By focusing on reducing claim denials through strategic evidence alignment and paralegal-grade review, ForgePoint was established to empower veterans nationwide, ensuring no service-connected record is left unheard.

Matt "Gunny" Syma

Matthew “Gunny” Syma is a retired Gunnery Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps, having honorably served multiple combat deployments, including three tours in Iraq. His military career was defined by leadership, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to those beside him.

 

Following his service, Matt transitioned into the VA claims space, where he spent four years working in Compensation & Pension exam quality analysis and within the Provider Liaison Department. During that time, he developed a deep understanding of how claims are evaluated, where breakdowns occur, and what it takes to ensure accuracy and completeness from the start.

 

His mission today remains the same—take care of his people. Only now, that mission is focused on helping Veterans receive the benefits they’ve earned.

Jennifer Syma
Senior Claims Consultant

Jennifer Syma brings over 20 years of professional experience in business operations, data analysis, and strategic growth. After a successful career in the private sector, she transitioned into the VA claims environment, where she quickly distinguished herself through her attention to detail and process-driven mindset.

Starting as a Quality Analyst, Jennifer was rapidly promoted to Quality Control Support Specialist, where she now supports quality assurance initiatives, training, and process improvement. Her expertise lies in identifying gaps, streamlining workflows, and ensuring that every case meets the highest standards before it ever reaches the VA.

 

As a mother of four, Jennifer understands the importance of stability, advocacy, and doing things the right way—not the easy way.
